The main goal of the World IPv6 Day is to motivate companies in several sectors – ISPs (Internet Service Providers), hosters, content providers, hardware manufacturers, software houses and web developers to prepare their services for IPv6, in order to ensure a successful transition from the already exhausted IPv4.

In total, more than 5000 national websites were dual stacked, landmarking the nfsi telecom network as the major IPv6 enabled content Portuguese network.

Since 2003, the entire nfsi network is dual stacked, offering simultaneously IPv4 and IPv6 support to their customers, making this company one of the first Internet Service Provider in Europe to implement the new protocol.

The WHD 2011 will take place from March 22nd to 25th in the Europa-Park, one of the largest theme parks of Europe, located in Rust - Germany, near the border triangle of France, Germany and Switzerland.

The Tech.days 2010 took place in Lagoas Park - Lisbon, between 20 and April 22 April, counted with the presence of more then 100 speakers and about 1800 participants.

Over three days, Microsoft presented to the public main features and innovations of its new products, Visual Studio 2010, Sharepoint 2010, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, SQL Server, Exchange, Azure, Silverlight, and Biztalk.

Apart from the presence in the booth area and the presentation of new Cloud Hosting and Cloud Servers services based on Windows Server 2008 R2, rackspot was responsible for the connectivity of the event and wi-fi coverage of more than 3000 square enclosure.
